garland craft

I was looking for a garland to make for our tree and came across this photo.  I do not necessarily think it fits on a Christmas tree, but it sure does look nice on a mantle. 

I love how some of the pinecones were kept natural and I love the white fireplace.  We have a pine tree in our front yard, but the pinecones it produces are not this nice.  Maybe I will head to the park this weekend and look for some.  I was going to try and get a beach day in, but fifty degrees on the beach doesn't really sound like suntan weather.
