I will be embarking on a baking journey tonight to make this delicious treat. We are having a Thanksgiving lunch feast at my office tomorrow and I volunteered to make these.
Although cheddar cheese is a main ingredient, I assure you this dish is way more dessert than entrée. I would call it a distant cousin of the apple pie, but the cousin only lives a state or two over, and not on a different continent.
The bottom line is they are delicious and relatively easy to make. I would also recommend buying actual graham cracker crumbs in the baking aisle. Don’t try to crush regular sized graham crackers yourself, as it is much easier building the crust with the finer crumbs. I also use more apples than the recipe calls for and I do not add walnuts.
