mushey, gushy, lovey, dovey, holding hands

how sweet, right?
that is love.
I really like the quote “home is wherever I am with you”, and I know it is cheesy, and I know the quote on the wall in the post below is cheesy, but it is almost Valentine’s Day, so I feel like I can be lovey dovey and it is okay.  (Normally I am not this cheesy.)

I do not however, think it is okay to use nicknames or partake in PDAs unless you are in a foreign land filled with strangers, or in the privacy of your home.  I don’t want to see/hear it.  You don’t want to see/hear it.  The feeling is pretty mutual I am sure.

I do think it is okay to hold hands though at all times with your husband/wife, grandparents, parents, sisters/brothers, friends…anyone really.  I LOVE holding hands and think people should do it more often.  It is one of my top five personal favorite pastimes.

  1. I agree! (Except that I am guilty of calling my husband things like "Love" or "Honey" in public. Sorry! :-)) I also agree that holding hands frequently is a hallmark of a loving relationship. I have friends who tell me that once A and I have been married for a while, we won't want to hold hands anymore. Five years of marriage and eight years together later we still hold hands all of the time so I'm happy that they were wrong! :-)

  2. I would hold hands at all times if I could. I recently learned that holding hands during football games was not acceptable - haha. My girlfriends and I used to drive around and hold hands when we went on road trips. My grandfather (Pops) was always holding our hands too.

  3. Awww, that is so sweet. I just love to see people holding hands, especially my parents or older people. I love the quote "home is wherever I'm with you." We used it at our wedding, and I found some good prints with the quote on easy. It's just perfect.

  6. I received an email saying Katherine left this, but it isn't posting on the page for some reason.

  7. Seeing older people hold hands is precious. I also like seeing love notes. One of our friend's parents leaves notes for one another - so sweet. And of course you used this quote for your wedding - I was between this one and another, but I liked this one more.
