My solution to this problem is to just leave the sand on and let it fall off when it chooses to. This will - in NO way, shape, or form - be how I parent (when the time comes, which is not yet). The only problem with this method is that our house (and couch, and bed, and bathroom floor, and kitchen, etc.) gets coated with sand, which requires a lot of vacuuming during the summer months. I think I would rather vacuum though than wipe it off. That feeling is just terrible.
That's the weirdest revelation you've written to date. :-)
ReplyDeleteI am not proud of it. It really makes a mess, but I can't stand it. My parents have recently started putting baby powder on their feet after the beach. The sand apparently comes off easier.
