we were there. take me back. |
Florida was quite lovely. We were able to spend some one-on-one time with his grandparents in Juno Beach, where the days went a little like this; wake up around 9:00 a.m., eat Cheerios with blueberries, lotion up, walk 100 feet to the beach, have fun in the sun, in for lunch (ham sandwich or hot dog on the grill), back to the beach, rinse off by the pool, take a dip, shower, eat dinner, and listen to stories about their past. Loved it and loved spending time with them.
We also spent a few days in Clearwater. We needed to find something in close proximity to Tampa because we had tickets to see Radiohead in concert. Can you say AMAZING? We even ended up in this VIP-ish area that had high cocktail tables and bar stools instead of uncomfortable stadium seats. Everything worked out perfectly. That band is amazing and I knew it would be good, but it surpassed my expectations.
I have a whole list of thoughts and topics to write about that popped in my head while I was away. I will touch upon one or two each day this week. Stay tuned.
