the program and our tickets |
I had the utmost pleasure of attending one of New York City’s finest modern dance performances last week – Paul Taylor Dance Company. I recently reconnected with a long lost friend of mine - a friend who has climbed her way to the absolute top of the dance world and is an official dancer for this prestigious company. She is as graceful as ever, and it was an absolute pleasure watching her on stage. As a result of her generosity (and sweet hook-ups from being a company member), my husband and I were able to see last Wednesday’s performance in the VIP section of the David H. Koch Theater at Lincoln Center (aka the third row, orchestra). I had such a great time and we were even allowed to visit her backstage after the performance. To our ultimate delight, she took us out onto the middle of the stage at Lincoln (freaking!) Center. It was amazing. Did it make me antsy to dance again? Yes. Am I going to put on one of my old leotards? Hell no. Living room dance parties or bust, until I get really, really motivated to take a dance class again.
