what not to buy if you are gluten free

I noticed this product on the shelf at our local Asian market last time we were there.  It caught my eye because we have officially been gluten free for over four weeks.  (Just for the record, I miss pizza the most, although I recently read a review on Kinnikinnick brand pizza crusts that said they weren't too bad.  I might have to try them.)  All too often I think to myself “I wish they would make it more obvious if a product was gluten free or not” while walking around food stores.  In this case it couldn’t be more apparent.  We left the store with our favorite curry paste and coconut milk.  The fried gluten stayed on the shelf.  I am so curious as to what this is used for, or what type of dish it is used in?!?!?  As for the pizza, living in Jersey doesn't help at all.  Pizza is so good where we live.  Ugh.
