an attempt at loving facetime

that's me from last
night's session
My husband travels a lot for work and he loves to use the FaceTime feature on our iPhones. Although I love seeing him, I hate how I look on the two inch by four inch screen. My lighting and angle is always off. I would prefer to talk using the Phone feature (I'm so prehistoric, right?), but he insists that it is so much better when we can see one another. Yesterday he came up with an idea that I was willing to try - an idea that involved wearing silly hats and sunglasses. I didn't feel uncomfortable or awkward at all. We talked for almost two hours and it kind of feels like we actually hung out. I don't love FaceTime, but if I have a hat and dark glasses, I am willing to give it a go.

(He was recently in Oklahoma and came up with this idea because he purchased a cowboy hat and was excited to show me. I did not have his permission to use the entire screen shot, so I cropped him out.)

  1. How do you look normal? My face is always long and I look like an alien. Or like I'm looking into a fun house mirror.
