the colors of the wind

When Pocahontas (Disney-style) came out, I was so happy.  It was a hot Disney princess who was barefoot and ran through the forest.  I loved/love her.  I ended up with two of the figurines pictured and before heading off to college in Colorado, gave one to my sister.  We have had them ever since, and take them with us everywhere we go.  I have never traveled (flown, train, boat, car, etc.) without it.  I keep her in my wallet, which I should have at all times.  Over the last few years some of her clothes have worn off, which looks silly.  However, there is no way I am ever getting rid of her on purpose.

I had the song Colors of the Wind in my head yesterday, and realized how amazing it was; "How high does the sycamore grow, if you cut it down, then you’ll never know"…brilliant song, brilliant movie, and brilliant love story.

  1. She stays in my wallet too. Sometimes she jumps out and into pictures too.
