a really, super nice valentine treat

We did it. We finally saw a Broadway play. There was acting and characters and sets, and nobody looked off into the distance and broke into song. No one tried to explain something in a normal talking voice to unresponsive listeners, and then after deciding to explain it with some musical accompaniment everything finally sunk in and messages became clearer & easier to understand. None of that happened. It was just plain acting, and it was awesome. I feel weird saying it was the best play I have ever seen, because it was, but I don’t really have anything else to compare it to. I remember seeing plays when I was younger, but I don’t really remember any of the details. I would 100% go and see another one; however, it was a Valentine’s splurge, and although it was a perfect date night, it was not something we should probably do on a monthly basis. If you couldn’t tell from the photo, we decided to see Cat on a Hot Tin Roof. Scarlett Johansson was the “star” and she did a phenomenal job. All of the actors and actresses did. I would recommend this play to anyone, unless you are looking for a super happy, feel good, go skipping down the street kind of experience.
