Every year I say I want to go to the Fryeburg Fair (Fryeburg, Maine), the Tunbridge Fair (Tunbridge, Vermont), and the Common Ground Country Fair (Unity, Maine), and every year I have stuff going on. However, this year we are free for the Common Ground Fair. The only drawback is the fact that it is 500 miles away, which translates into an eight hour drive. Ouch. The Big E (Springfield, Massachusetts) is during the same time and is a three and a half hour drive to where I grew up.
I have been making it a point to hit up the Big E for the last few years, but I am ready for some added fair-time fun. I would never drop the Big E from my annual plans. I couldn't live without the big yellow slide and the state buildings, but will I ever make it to these other fairs? I am beginning to think not so much...
2013 Schedule: Fryeburg = September 29 - October 6, Tunbridge = September 12 - 15, Common Ground = September 20 - 22, Big E = September 13 - 29
