a winning combo in my book

porcupine art.
We did a lot of repeater-type things during our Newport visit this past weekend, and although I do like going on new and exciting adventures, I also appreciate knowing what to expect. The establishment we ate lunch at was new for everyone except my sister and me, which made the five sculptures the only true new adventure for us all…and even though my sister and I had literally just gone to all of the other places in July, we were more than happy to go again. (The Kozik sisters love Newport and the surrounding areas.)

The sculptures were made by an artist called Wendy Klemperer. She was born in Boston, Massachusetts and now lives in Brooklyn, New York. I was not familiar with her work and found the small exhibit we saw listed on the Newport events site. The thing that attracted me most was that the sculptures were on display outside. I love seeing art in nature! I am glad we stopped by and I think we were there for thirty minutes total. Not only was it enjoyable, we had to literally drive past it on our way to and from the winery…in addition to a nearby ice cream shop. Guess who got one last cone for the summer? Me.
