I am ready and I hope you are too

I was on a mission to buy the stockings I wrote about a few weeks ago and to my surprise and delight I found different ones for a quarter of the price. I wasn’t even looking for them…they just appeared, and instead of being $40, they were $8. The letters were $3 each, so I spent $22 instead of $80, and you know how I feel about 22 - woohoo!

I also purchased some garland and set it up on the banister to see if I really liked it (and to cannon ball into the holiday spirit). Well it is up, I like it, and I am not taking it down. Christmas has begun in our house and that makes me happy. It is fake garland, but there are very realistic sprigs and pinecones on it. Rest assured there is no glitter on it, or small foil wrapped mini presents. I think I can handle it. It made a little mess, but it was nothing compared to setting up the real stuff. I am also thinking about getting some of those Yankee Candle scented icicles to hide inside it, for that fresh off the farm balsam and cedar smell.
