saying good-bye and hello, hello

I started a new job two and a half months ago and in doing so, made a major upgrade in neighborhoods. Although my last job was much closer to Penn Station, I am loving being in such a nice area of Manhattan. My commuting time has increased, but as each day passes I am beginning to become more and more convinced it is worth it, especially in the warmer weather. I try my best to get outside and have been on some very exciting adventures in just a few short weeks. I frequent Chelsea Market, which is full of the most delicious food ever. I discovered the tastiest danishes at Amy's Bread. I never really liked danish all that much, but I really like these. I can buy fun hand-printed cards, natural bath products, fun candy, and other bakery delights. I need to start making a lunch list because thus far I have only trusted myself to grab my midday meal at Hale & Hearty. Soup is great, but there is so much more this area has to offer. I have also been to the Standard Biergarten, the most adorable wine bar, and a very old and very classic New York City bar. I have run into a few famous people - the most exciting being Diane von Furstenberg, John Cusack, and Miss Lawrence. There are always film crews in the street my office is on, too. So, I guess this is my good-bye to Midtown West and hello to the West Village; it has been nice knowing you, but I think this is a better fit.
