Not my photo, but I wish so badly it was. |
During my lunch today I (very stealthily) opened up my Pinterest. (Reading the news is acceptable here, but Pinterest seems like it's one of those sites that are frowned upon.) To my surprise and delight the first six pins on my home feed were posted by Yankee Magazine and all had to do with lobster. Score-a-rama! I love lobster. It makes me feel happy inside when I eat it - like really happy. I am a tail girl (not claw, boo claws) and could eat one hundred tails in one sitting, as long as someone took them out of the shell for me and paid for it, as it would be a pricey endeavor. I wouldn't mind rinsing them myself either because I realize that would be a lot to ask for, and I only eat lobster that has been thoroughly rinsed and doesn't have any weird stuff sticking to it. After the rinse takes place, I prefer to let all of my lobster pieces sit in a bowl of butter with a lot of lemon and soak in it. I also enjoy eating warm lobster rolls that are drenched in butter, but I have been known to shove in a cold one too. If I had to choose and for the record, I much prefer warm over cold. Wow, my mouth is watering. The topics of the six pins are definitely worth mentioning; cooking lobster at home, how to eat a lobster, best lobster rolls in Maine, lobster pie recipe, classic lobster chowder, and lobster mac and cheese. Is this my lucky day? It sure feels like it. The photo that won best photo out of the six pins was the classic lobster chowder, which is featured above. Damn that looks good. Click
