I learned about sand mandalas after a group of Tibetan Buddhist monks visited my husband's college. He took (and developed!) an amazing photo of the event that used to be on display at our home. (Actually, where is that thing?) Their mandala was a geometric pattern made of sand, but recently I have been seeing and reading a lot about fresh flower mandalas. After my rant about the local farm, I figured I would end the week with something peaceful and tranquil. Enjoy it out there!
