a waterproof satchel that sits evenly on my back

I decided to invest in a waterproof backpack and today was my first day bringing it to work. My back has been killing me lately and I am blaming the cross body bag and one shoulder purses I wear on my commute to and from work. I am looking for the backpack to "even" me out. I also wanted something waterproof because the rain tends to blow sideways when you're by the water on a pier. So far, I am thrilled with my decision. The Timbuk2 Slide Laptop Blackpack is a smaller pack with three pockets on the inside and three pockets on the outside. Over the years, I have minimized the contents of my commuter bag and everything I deem necessary fits perfectly in said pockets. The bag was designed to hold a laptop or iPad in the largest inside pocket, but I put my Kindle in there and although it is a touch thicker, it fits just fine. I had a Timbuk2 tote when I first started commuting, but the straps were a little short and the size was a little large and if you give a girl a large bag, she will fill it. It was a great tote, but should be used for a beach bag, or as a reusable tote at the grocery store. I went with the color scheme that had a little pink in it. Between this and my bike helmet, I don't know what's happening to me. I guess I am more green/black/brown for things that stay on me more permanently. Pink is only for things I use on occasion, or for short periods of time. Cheers to less back pain and a cute new bag!
