a one day weekend full of cleaning and organizing

So...I didn't have time for the leaf garland, but I plan to work on it a little each night this week and finish it off next weekend. I did hang the felt leaf garland on our dining room hutch and it looks pretty adorable. I'll say it again, damn Paper Source. On an organized note, my closets and drawers are douched and cleaned and steamed. I also changed our sheets and comforters over to winter mode and it couldn't have worked out better, as I woke this morning to a thirty six degree temperature - it was freaking freezing, or very close to it. I made my duck tacos and they were delicious. I am thrilled to know how to properly cook duck. I most likely won't order anything else from Plated because although they provide you with a gourmet meal you can prepare in thirty minutes, it isn't very cost effective and it makes quite a bit of waste with all the packaging and individual containers. It was fun while it lasted though and I appreciate being sent the deal. Here's to feeling already quite accomplished...and it's only Monday.
