My husband surprised me last month and took me to the Museum of Fine Arts in Boston. We were able to see (more of) Dale Chihuly's work, an artist we love. The pieces he chose for this exhibit were absolutely amazing. I recommend high-tailing it to Boston before August, if you are able.
Mr. Chihuly sent these fairly large pieces of glass down a river and had interns float along in these wooden boats to collect the pieces. (That was his inspiration for this piece.)
Glass that resembles pottery?!?!? Count me in. Stunning.
This was enormous and so fun. It was a plant-like, sea-floor display of wonderfulness.
Lilac glass and massive birch logs. Can you say decorating inspiration for our future home?
Does this not scream pizzazz? I love that word, but hardly ever feel compelled to use it.
Hope you enjoyed my first go at a photo gallery.
Thanks husband for the beautiful photos.
So cool you got to see this, I have only seen photos, but his glass work and arrangements are wicked.
