a big blog day

I devoured the rest, then realized
I needed a photo.

Big things are happening today- many crafty, holiday-like things.  Today's first post is going to be about the start to our Sunday - CBS Sunday Morning (best television program ever) and breakfast treats from Delicious Orchards - in bed!  My husband ate his usual Crumb Bun, but when I visited the farm market yesterday I discovered something new - the Apple Swirl.

The bottom is similar to a danish, and the middle is filled with cooked apples, raisins, crumb topping, and then drizzled with icing.  It was heavenly and somewhat similar to an Apple Wrapple from the Huntington Country Store in western MA, but instead of pie crust, there is danish dough with the addition of crumbly goodness.

And I would have written about it sooner, but because we indulged in some decadent treats, we had to go running.
