I must have been good because Santa (aka husband) left a Kindle Touch under our Christmas Tree. I was so back and forth on wanting one of these machines and after some research, I decided I could really benefit from owning an eReader. It took a long time because I am not the biggest fan of making decisions. I am happy with many things.

wooden frame just wonderful? |
I have downloaded two books already - The Life of Pi and The Da Vinci Code. One was on sale the day I got it for $0.99 and the other one I just wanted and cost $10. I am not going to get into the habit of buying books, as you can rent books from the library for free through a Kindle, but because I had holiday travel plans and did not have time to make it to the brary I made an exception.
One of the most exciting things about getting one was choosing a case. Although there was a fun green and blue striped Kate Spade case that kind of matches my phone, it was made out of fabric and I wanted something tougher.
Through many hours of research I came across a website called
Pad & Quill. They also make cases for Ipads and Iphones. They closely resemble the brand of cases called
DODOcase, but DODO doesn't make a Kindle Touch case, just a Kindle Fire case. I am happy with my purchase and confident my Kindle will be protected.

I think I want to name my Kindle something human - maybe Gloria?!?!? Peter?!?!? Bill Cosby??!?! or should I just name it Mr. Potato Head?!?!? I went with the hickory interior, which makes me think of potatoes.
I'm calling it Delores.
