‘tis the season for the larger loads

I am so curious to know what people were thinking when they read the title of this blog post.  Larger loads pertain to laundry and when beach towels make for extra work.  The photo is from my day at the beach last Saturday; the day I realized that the number of loads was going to increase and the car would be full of sand from sandy toes and surfboards for the next couple of months.  I am not really complaining, as I am grateful to live so close to the beach.  It was just a realization. 

That is my beach bag for the season – a gift that my husband picked out for me in San Francisco.  I love the summer and I love the beach, and I really love the sun.  I have become a bit better with the whole suntan lotion phenomenon, although it seems to be turning my cover-ups and bathing suits orange.  I need to find out a lotion that doesn’t do that.
