cause baby you're a firework

Thank you Katy Perry for that wonderful line - I will see your movie soon. I went to visit my sister the other weekend and caught a fireworks display in Branford, Connecticut. It was quite impressive, especially the music. The show began with God Bless America sung by Whitney Houston - amazing and probably the very best rendition out there. Then came God Bless the U.S.A., which like the next songs, the four branches of the armed forces (instrumental versions), was not that surprising or out of the ordinary. However, the next songs took me by surprise - Star Wars?!?!?  Is that song normally played during fireworks? The last was Bruce Springsteen's Born in the U.S.A., which made sense, but was another one of those songs I wouldn't consider a regular during a city of town's celebration for America.
