I enjoy writing in pencil, not pen. I found this style of pencil of few years ago in a Stationary Shop in Burlington, Vermont. They sold these pencils singularly for $2.50 each. I used to buy them as a treat because I liked the way they felt. Plus, if I misplaced it at work there was a greater chance of finding it because no one uses pencil, let alone all black pencils with jewels on the end.
Fast forward a few years, and picture me in the TJ Maxx in Westfield, Massachusetts. I was in line, surrounded by millions of trinkets, ankle-length socks, candles, drawer liners, odd kitchen tools, and holiday décor (why do they do it, it is so intense and overwhelming?) when to my pleasant surprise; I spotted an entire pack of my favorite pencils for $3.99. I snatched up a box and knew my days of buying one pencil at a time were over. I don't allow myself to have more than one out of the box at a time because I like to keep track of my simple treasures. I am not a very flashy person either, but I like the black sleekness paired with the little bling on top. These pencils are super smooth and fun to hold.
