thar she blows! |
I went home last night and set myself up to make a wreath for our front door. I peeked at the wreath making page on Martha’s website and went for it, and I am happy to report it came out great. I was going to buy one, but as I was pulling out of the driveway at some point last week, I realized we had a pile of fresh greens sitting on our curb from the storm. I grabbed a box and my clippers, cut large, medium, and small size boughs, and picked up some floral wire and a wire frame from the nearby craft store. I only used about a quarter of what I collected, so I filled a few vases with some of the greens to get the house more in the Christmas spirit. They smell amazing, and I personally think all homes should smell pine fresh during the month of December. I also decided that I am going to keep the wreath in its earthly state – no bows, no tinsel, and no fake floral additions. I may add some berries from a bush in our yard, and I wouldn’t be sad if I could figure out a way to put lights on it, but for now I am going to keep it au naturel.
THAT LOOKS AMAZING. I'm trying to figure out how I can add some greens into my yarn wreath without ruining it. I kinda wanna cover the white and make it big and green like yours. I love being twins!
