what i should have said first

Plus...I am afraid of heights.
Although I WAS very excited to eat my way through the state of Vermont, there were a lot more reasons we embarked on this adventure. We used to be neighbors (literally share the same house broken up into different apartments) with one of my very best friends from home. He and his lovely lady just purchased a home and we went up to visit them. It has been a struggle to say the least, living this far away from him and most of my best friends from home. These last two weekends I was lucky enough to travel to visit two of them. I don’t think I mentioned it, but last weekend I went to Providence, Rhode Island to also visit some dear friends.

THIS IS WHAT THE HOLIDAYS ARE ALL ABOUT, PEOPLE. Visit your friends, travel to see loved ones, and experience happy times with one another. Yes, the food was very great (I ate the most amazing spicy tomato soup in Providence at a restaurant called AS220 – super spicy), but the outstanding company is what I should have mentioned first. As the years pass it is becoming more and more apparent that none of these people will ever live close enough to meet up for dinner after work. Our lives have taken us all in different directions (thankfully, mostly to somewhere in the northeast) and even though some of us are many miles away, we still continue to meet up and check-in with one another like we all live next door. Although the dinners and the phone calls are a tad less frequent than they would be if we were actual neighbors, the love and respect we have for one another grows to infinite heights.
