Day 1: bucket-o-spuds with an egg poached hard on top/side of herb gravy/gingerbread pancake from Penny Cluse Café in Burlington, star-shaped sour gummies from Sweet Thing on Church Street, Vermont Smoke and Cure pepperoni/Cabot Hunters Seriously Sharp Cheddar Cheese/crackers from Cheese Traders, som tum salad/panang curry with tofu from Tiny Thai, orange tea cake from On the Rise Bakery in Richmond.
Day 2: Italian sub with extra pickles/small cream of broccoli soup from City Market, eggplant pesto pizza from Piecasso in Stowe, salad with Jasper Hill Farms blue cheese/sweet potato and Vermont cheddar and cranberry chutney and scallion flatbread/nitrate free pepperoni and pepper flatbread from American Flatbread in Burlington.
Take away treats: leftover spuds from breakfast, ginger jack cider from Shelburne Orchards, broccoli samosas/heady gummy bears from City Market, apple cider from Cold Hollow Cider Mill.
And yes, I know this is a lot, but don’t judge me. It’s the holidays and I am happy.
