afternoon pie faced delight

My coworker and I treated ourselves to a little bit of pie this afternoon, in honor of yesterday’s holiday – National Pi Day (as in 3.14 and because it is finally Friday). There is a nearby restaurant that just opened called Pie Face.

We indulged in some sweet treats, but they carry savory pies, too. Take for instance the bbq pulled pork pie, or the tandoori vegetable pie. They also make spinach and sausage rolls. I went with a mini lemon pie. It was delicious. The filling was more custard-like than curd-like. However, the apple, blueberry, and cherry all have little faces on them, but the lemon was bare. I missed the little face, but enjoyed my pie.
