late on the delivery, but a super fun time

We had friends visit a few weekends and it was really fun, but I didn’t get around to writing about it. We had an amazing dinner (Drew's Bayshore Bistro), witnessed an absolute torrential downpour, walked on the beach, visited the world’s only pinball museum (Asbury Park), bet on some ponies at the racetrack (Monmouth Park), ate dinner on the patio (flank steak tostadas), got breakfast sandwiches and pineapple soda at the Red Store, walked around NYC (Madison Square Park and Eataly), went to Citi Field for the Cubs game (not the Mets), took a boat home from the game (balling), and attended a family party (wild and crazy). There was money won at the racetrack, the Cubs beat the Mets, and we probably gained about fifty pounds with all the food we consumed. It was comforting and quite nice to have them around. I hope they come back real soon, or I hope we make it up to Burlington within the next few months. Friends rule.
