surrounded by wonderful women

We all grew up in
Westfield, Massachusetts.
I traveled to Providence, Rhode Island, this past weekend to meet up with my girlfriends from home. I have known one of them since kindergarten and met the others in middle school. In my not-so-humble opinion, we are a clan of strong-willed women that respect the earth & living things (some more than others, especially when it comes to seagulls), who try to live our lives as conscious and polite as possible. We take care of one another and try to keep each other strong, focused, safe, and happy. I think we do a damn good job. Leaving them is as hard as saying bye to my immediate family, and since we live all over the place, it’s something that happens regularly. We had dreams of living across the street from one another during our high school days, but at this point in life I am not sure that will ever happen…so for now, we must bask in our happy weekend trips and enjoy each other’s company while we can. This weekend was baked goods, boogie boarding and beach time, cocktails and red wine, Ethiopian dinner, ice cream, and WaterFire. It was delightful and I wish it was last night Friday night all over again (minus the two and a half hour train delay).
