The painting has begun in our foyer. I am, as usual, not
doing any of it. I did however, find a shelf and coat hooks. Now my mission is
to find a bench. The shelf and hooks I bought are on the industrial side of
things. Although I want part of the bench to be wooden, I think we will need to
choose something that is also metal. What I really want is a turnbuckle bench.
My issue is the ones I want are all super long or not made of solid wood. We
tried out wood composite with our credenza and are not impressed. It sags and I
do not know how to fix it and it infuriates me every time we watch tv in the
living room. No more non-solid wood in our house, that’s a promise.
As for the
bench, we would love to try to find one at an antique store, but I feel as
though I have more luck shopping for things we aren't necessarily looking for, or
in other words, when I have a shopping mission I never find what I want. My
husband also mentioned he wanted to sit on the bench and test it out before
making a final purchase. I am picking up what he is putting down.
