keeping healthy, or at least trying to
I read an article on the way home last night about a new study done to test pesticides in our fruits and veggies. This is the top twelve worst list and I couldn't help but sigh once I finally got to the bottom of the article and saw it. Last Sunday, I was tired and didn't want to go out at all (I was sad because my husband left for work at ten in the morning on a Sunday and I had more than a few cocktails Saturday night and wasn't feeling my all time best - boo city), but I motivated and thought I was doing myself a favor. Not the case. I picked up the following: five granny smith apples, green grapes, a red bell pepper, a green bell pepper, two english cucumbers, brussel sprouts, lettuce, and four avocados. Well, it was a win with the brussels, lettuce, and avos, but I failed with the rest. I bought organic lettuce, but everything else was conventional. Wanh. Why can't everything healthy, actually be healthy? It would make life so much easier...
