a whiskey delight with an unexpected ingredient

Their photo, not mine, but I hope
mine comes out looking like this.
I have been trying my hardest to take full lunch breaks because when I break the habit, it is very hard to get back. I know taking a break should be a relaxing and happy part of my day, but when days are crazy and busy it almost becomes more of a chore. (Not really, but I enjoy whining, so I am going to run with it.) When I take my lunch breaks I enjoy reading my favorite blogs. I don't ever read them on my phone or at home, only on my computer when I am at work.

A post about a grilled cheese made with Thai Basil Jalapenos caught my eye today (fat kid) and I followed the link to the makers of the said jalapenos. They are a company called Gordy's Pickle Jar and in addition to having an online shop, they also have a pairings section. The first item on the list is a whiskey sour made with...you guessed it, pickle juice. I know what I'm having when I get home! I will have to chew gum while I drink it because my husband is not a fan of pickles, but I am willing to do what it takes. Click here for the recipe.
