a home for our chirping friends

I'm not sure we need two, but I
am loving this new color scheme!

Last summer we were the lucky recipients of our very own Pleasant Ranch Studios handcrafted birdhouse. Yes, I have been known to dislike birds very much, but that was during my trail crew days when I was sleeping in the woods. Now that I am sleeping in our beautiful home they don't bother me, aside from a few trying to live in our soffits, but my husband took care of that (without harm...relax). I was so excited to receive one and thought it was such a cool and thoughtful gift. Our friends brought it down from Vermont and it was made by one of our other friends in Vermont. He makes wooden crafts as a hobby and does a damn fine job. Our home is contemporary style, so it couldn't have been more perfect. Sometimes I wish I could swap with our feathered friends and live inside the birdhouse - it is that nice.
