a waxy and cheesy mini delight

I bought a little 6-pack bag of Babybel cheese this past Monday morning at the grocery store. I was on my way to work and had a real hankering for some cheese. I was going to grab a bag of string cheese, but the Babybel was $2 cheaper. It also reminded me of a pleasant memory I had with a dear friend that used to live in Brooklyn...

Some of the happiest times I've had in this area were with her, but she has since moved away and I fear she is not moving back anytime soon. However, while she was here we went to an Etsy Lab craft night and crafted some fabric wallets. We went after work and she met me outside of the building, which was located in the DUMBO (Down Under the Manhattan Bridge Overpass) neighborhood of Brooklyn. We greeted one another with hugs and she handed me a Babybel. I had always noticed them at the grocery store and had even seen a few commercials on television, but I had never eaten one. To my surprise and delight it was delicious, but that was at least three years ago and I hadn't had one since...until this past Monday. Do yourself a favor and buy this cheese. It is on the grocery list for the weekend and will be included in our beach picnic.
