obnoxiously protecting the old noggin

It took about five days to finally make a decision, but I did it. I was going to get a classy white bike helmet to go along with my amazing new bike, but I went funky instead. I couldn't find a white helmet in a brand I liked that had a black strap, so I went with a loud and obnoxious pink helmet covered in stars. I don't really ever do pink, but thought why not?! I was between a Bern and a Nutcase brand helmet, and went with the Nutcase. I found this helmet discounted for $25 on a gear website and took advantage - that is what prompted my decision. This one was on my list and at this price, it rose straight to the top. I will also admit that I stopped into a local bike shop yesterday by my office and tried on helmets in the two brands to figure out my size. I know I should have shopped locally, but at a discount of $25  and free shipping, it seemed like a no brainer. Maybe if I need a bell or some handlebar streamers, I will pick them up there. I hope I don't regret my decision. It is not like helmets make anyone look particularly handsome or pretty, so why not go for something a little out of the ordinary?
