pinterest - the greatest place online

If you find yourself browsing the interweb for ideas and inspirations, please join Pinterest.  It is one of the greatest websites out there in Cyber Land.  It allows you to create Boards that have specific themes (i.e., outfits, food, kitchen ideas, quotes, etc.).  Then, as you scour the World Wide Web you can hit a button and add (or Pin) a photo you find & like to the respective Board.  You also have the option to search other people’s collections – these can be people you are following, or you can do a search with keyword.

At this moment, my Board’s themes are:  famous people I love, favorite places, homey things, I love these books, just plain neat-o, linear things, products that make me happy, style I wish I had, and yummy things.

There are two ways to view things in Pinterest (or maybe more, but so far I can see two main ways).  You can just view your own Boards, or you can view your Pinned photos mixed with the Pinned photos of people you are following.  It is so fun!  People are so creative and find the most beautiful/wonderful things.

I have a folder at home with ripped out pages from magazines (mostly from Martha Stewart Living, who am I kidding?) that I am saving as inspiration for our new home - when we buy one.  Pinterest is like my folder, but way more organized and much easier to share.

You have to be invited to join, so if you are interested, let me know.

*Photos are just examples from random folks.  If you want to see my Boards and Pins, you have to sign up.

a new-ish beginning

Welp, here goes nothing.  I have steered clear from the Book of Face and MySpace, but thought I would put a little effort into writing my very own blog.  I am content with my life and want to share my happiness with you.  My blog will be full of, but not limited to:  interesting photos, delicious recipes, silly comments, and hot jams.  Enjoy your days ahead. xo
