I was able to enjoy a most wonderful dinner last Friday evening with friends that came to visit. We went to a local eatery called Drew’s Bayshore Bistro in Keyport, NJ. Drew’s is most well-known for their Cajun flair in seafood and pork dishes, but has been winning gold medals from me for their desserts. I mentioned another one of their desserts in my Jersey Post from a few weeks ago, and am so excited (that I just cannot hide it) to tell you about my most recent…
I know you must be thinking “did she insert the wrong photo for this post”, or “does she mean lunch or dinner”, but I assure you I mean dessert. I had Jersey Corn Ice Cream and it was delicious. (I know you ice cream aficionados are curious; it was straight up - in a dish, not a cone, no sprinkles, no sauce.) It was one of the happiest moments of my life. I love eating local, and now that I know I can turn anything local into ice cream, it will be even more of a treat.
Bon appétit, support your local farm, and enjoy the delights of summer!
