the fall mantle

This is what our mantle looks like for the fall.  I made three bouquets in the center (small, medium, and large), and then used pussy willows in my glass vases along both sides.  This will last forever because the flowers are dried - no more buying fresh flowers every week.  The dried bouquet was purchased during our apple picking field trip at Brookfield Orchards two weeks ago.  I am loving the Chinese Lanterns!

I also had a pumpkin up there, but I am liking the simplicity of the three Simon Pearce vases in the center.  I can leave the dried flowers up until Thanksgiving and the pussy willows will be a nice addition to the holiday mantle.

My next project will be removing the begonias in the outdoor flower pots and filling them with a fall display - stay tuned!
