holiday treats

I know it is kind of early, but I have been thinking about what kind of cookies to make for the holidays already.  Between Pinterest and looking at other blogs, I think I have found some winners.  I don’t imagine that my cookies will come out quite this perfect, but I am going to make the effort.

The first are Caramel Stuffed Apple Cider Cookies.  The photograph shows them sitting above a cup of hot tea, so the caramel gets soft and melty.  Count me in.

The next are Spiral Sprinkle Cookies.  These are the ones that will come out looking nothing like the picture, but if I can get the sprinkles to stick, they will make me happy because they are so colorful.

These are more like candy than cookies, but I am still going to make them because they are delicious.  You take a mini pretzel and a Rolo, stick it in the oven, and then when the Rolo has melted, you stick a cashew on top.  I may or may not add the white chocolate.  I think I like how it looks.

My last creation will be the Chocolate Cookies with Peanut Butter Chips.  Nothing fancy about these things, just peanut butter and chocolate.  The recipe even comes straight off the package of peanut butter chips.  Whatever works though…and according to my husband, there is no better cookie in the world.

I had intentions to bake those cookies that have York Peppermint Patties in the middle, but I am concerned about packaging them with the other cookies.  Mint is infectious, so I think I might skip them.

66 days until Santa comes…
