a baking delight...well, hopefully

I am going to make this gingerbread on Sunday.  I will have the house to myself and the forecast says high of 30 (Am I really complaining about this?  Oy.  Jersey is turning me into a softy!), so I will be more than happy to turn the oven on for over an hour.  I cannot wait for the house fill up with the gingerbread smell!

I will 100% be leaving out the walnuts and raisins also.  I like a smooth bread - chunks stay away.  I was on a banana bread kick, but after seeing this on one of my favorite blogs today, I am going to try it out.  I think I already have all of the ingredientses (thank you Theresa, one of the Housewives of New Jersey for that word), except for the sweet potato puree.  Maybe I will try making my own so I do not have to use the canned stuff.  Maybe not.  Who do I think I am sometimes? 

(And yes, I watch the Housewives.  Not just Jersey either.  All of them.)  Ha!
