she needs to sit down, that is danger |
We are supposed to get snow this evening. It will be our third snowstorm this year. What happened to winter? The forecast says to expect under one inch, but I am hoping for a few feet. Although last year's clean-up combined with not having power (which also means no running water because we have a well at our home) was a little trying at times, I really want to be stuck at home. I would prefer power, but am willing to deal without it if it means a big storm.
We have a hill in our front yard that makes for some great sledding, but I have yet to take a run this year. I really hope it snows enough before I go to bed, so I can take at least a run or two tonight and make a maple snow cone for dessert after our dinner. All the people I know that grew up in New Jersey call sledding "sleigh riding". It is funny and quite cute. Sleigh riding is with horses though and sledding is with toboggans or sleds. They don’t understand that.
Better yet. They need a butt rocket. Try going doubles on that!
ReplyDeleteWe did. We are sisters. I loved that snow day at your house. Was that the day after my surprise party? I don't think I made it to work that Monday...
ReplyDeleteDid you get your snow? We didn't. What a drag! We got a bare dusting instead of the 5-8" they warned us about. BOO!!!!
ReplyDeleteIt was mere inches and didn't stick to the front yard, meaning the hill was not snow covered. No sledding yet this season...I am beginning to think it isn't going to happen.
