the best way to organize my recipes

I understand the artichoke and
the chicken design, but mitten?!?
what were they thinking?
I have a folder that contains recipes I ripped out of magazines, printed from blogs, copied down on random pieces of paper as my mother read ingredients and directions over the phone, and it is a mess. I have to look through the entire pile when I want something because there is no order to it – not even alphabetical. The horror! I do own a recipe box, but the task of having to copy the millions of recipes I have collected over the years on tiny little cards scares me. What I really want to do is have two books; one savory and one sweet. I want to find two large journals with blank pages, and glue/tape my recipes into their respective book. I realize my books won’t be perfectly organized (no alphabetizing, no table of contents, no organizing by meal type). However, I think over time I would end up memorizing the locations.

  1. You should get a book with a table of contents and write in the names and page numbers. Then you would have order

  2. Unless you want one of my old lab notebooks. There are lines everywhere so making sure you glued in the recipes would be a cinch and there's a T of C too. Downfall. There ate pics if DNA and cells on the cover, not food
