checking on a job well done

My husband and I planted beach grass a few weekend’s ago to help restore the shore. I think I am going to drive by this weekend and make sure our little grass plugs are okay. We planted grass that will (hopefully) one day become dunes. However, I am hoping our efforts didn’t get washed away during this last snow/rain storm.

It was a super fun volunteer project and if given the opportunity, I would most definitely sign up to do it again. The photo is of my cute husband planting the grass in a zigzag pattern, eighteen inches apart. We took turns; one of us would dig the holes and the other would plant the grass. It was also a gorgeous day, which always helps. We did a really good job.

  1. I could really use that mammut jacket evan has on! You two are so passionate about the Jersey shore. Good job doing a good deed.

  2. Thanks! I like his winter Mammut jacket too. Quality products. We feel like we have to give back because we use the beaches so much. Evan surfs year-round and I like walks on the beach (if it is 50 degrees or warmer). Thankfully, we don't have many home projects to worry about because of the storm.
