getting crafty with spring flower cupcakes

my cupcake garden
We celebrated a plethora of things this past weekend (a graduation, an engagement, and a job promotion) and finding a dessert that matched everything was close to impossible. Some spring flower cupcakes on Pinterest caught my eye a few weeks ago and I have been waiting for an excuse to try them out. Flowers can help celebrate any occasion, right?
I used SweeTart jelly beans (very colorful and bright), Reese’s Peanut Butter Eggs, and Good & Plenty. The cupcakes were (of course) funfetti cake with rainbow chip frosting. I am happy with the way they came out, but I think dying the frosting would have made them look even better. I ended up putting them inside of a shallow pasta bowl (from the one and only Bennington Potters) on top of some brightly colored paper Easter grass. I think they came out great!
