the first cheers of the season

It's the most wonderful time of the year...I say that way too often, but there are so many fun perks that come with each season. To my absolute surprise and delight, our favorite local ice cream parlor is open! The establishment is called Strollo’s Lighthouse and they serve Italian ice and soft serve. They normally have a soft serve flavor of the week, in addition to chocolate and vanilla. (My favorite flavors are butter pecan and pistachio, FYI.) This past Sunday they were offering vanilla dyed green in honor of St. Patrick’s Day as the "flavor". They opened this year on March 15th, but we didn’t make it there until the 17th. My husband got chocolate soft serve and I got non-green vanilla. I do not hate Irish people, I just didn’t specifically order it and they apparently had both up and running. What will I order next?
