a great idea for some living room art

I really do love everything in Anthropologie. There are some things in there I should never wear, but I still love them anyway. However, I have been having a tough time lately convincing myself the stuff I want is worth buying. Instead, I have found a gem in the great state of New Jersey - a little store called Stein Mart. It mimics a TJ Maxx or Marshall’s, but is even cheaper. Most weeks there are printable discounts one can use to get even more money off the already low prices. It is my new favorite place. I thought going to Anthropologie and getting eight random things for $250 was a feat. I can go to Stein Mart and get five random things for $50. Random things include, but are not limited to: shirts, pants, pajamas, under garments, coats, shoes, jewelry, and home goods.

Even though I assumed I would not buy anything in the Anthropologie we visited this past weekend, I went in anyways. Normally, I do not shop unless I am ready to buy something, or need something. I don’t think “just looking” is fun in any way, shape, or form. Shopping is for buying stuff, end of story. I tried on three shirts, but couldn’t stomach the prices. I also couldn’t stomach the prices of the artistic letters pictured above. I thought the price tag said $18, which is why I looked for my and my husband’s initials. I thought to myself ‘this is a great deal and we can hang these in our living room in this one spot we are having trouble finding art for’. However, when I looked closer I noticed it said $48, not $18, so I took a photo and am going to make them myself. Thanks for the idea Anthro!
