a successful trip to the maxx, as usual

I went home for literally a few hours last weekend (“home” being my parent’s house in western Massachusetts) and had thirty minutes to kill after a quick trip to the best grocery store on earth – Big Y. I was with my mom who is quite the shopper, so I knew she would be into stopping by TJMaxx. I always have the BEST luck at the Maxx in Westfield. I try to find good deals at the ones in Jersey, but never find anything. The stores are always a mess and everything is bedazzled. There is a time and a place for bedazzling, however at the present moment there is not much room in my wardrobe for any.

Aside from finding a two shirts and a pair of jeans, I found a garden stool. I have had my eye on one on a website I like called Ballard Designs. However, their garden stools are $149, while the ones at the Maxx were $39.99. What a deal! I went with red. It is bold, but our outside can handle it. I don’t have any red in my wardrobe, but I don’t mind it in the outdoors, or in our kitchen for that matter. The only thing left to look for now is some string lights. The patio needs some soft light, but I am torn on getting solar powered lights vs. plug in. The plug in kind are much cuter and come in a variety of styles, but the solar ones won’t need to reach an outlet.  Decisions, decisions…

  1. Isn't it funny how the Maxx merchandise varies by region?!
